About Me

I am a young, 24 yr old mother of a gorgeous baby boy. I go to school full-time and I work part-time as a receptionist. My life gets pretty hectic and at times it seems that I barely have time to breathe, but I am over joyed with it and the people that surround me. My greatest goal is to always do right by my son and the rest of my family.

Hello again!

My son, Adrian, will soon be turning 3 months and a lot has gone on within these months that you have missed so I thought it would be nice to sort of speed you up.

I was in labor for about 5 hours - I was in my labor room for only about 3. Thankfully, everything turned out great after being in bedrest for about 3 months due to preterm contractions.

My stay at the hospital was pretty good, with the exceptions of latching-on problems I was having with Adrian to breastfeed - after the second day we got the hang of it with the help of a lactation consultant (after his first month, I switch to formula feeding because he was not getting full and my nipples were pretty raw and sore) Now, it's not a lie that once you come home things start getting more difficult. Adrian was up every 3 hrs to breastfeed, crazy amounts of stinky diapers was the norm, and trying to dodge the spray of pee-pee coming my way seemed to never get easier, but it does. Promise! I've found the websites listed on my blog very helpful to me by allowing me to learn techniques and understand my son's world a lot better.

Little by little, Adrian has been stretching out his nights and those surprise pee-pee baths minimized. He is currently sleeping from 10:30/11:00pm to 4:00/5:00am and them goes back to bed until about 8:00am after a bottle.

I'm proud to say that my little man is very alert, holding his head up fairly well since birth, doing baby talk and laughing since he's been 1 1/2 months. He's such a flirt and he laughs with pretty much anyone.

So now he's about to turn 3 months on the 11th and I'm just so excited to see him grow and learn so much more now that he's more aware of his surrounding. It's such an awesome experience to see their amazement at their simplest discoveries.

This is a very rushed summary of my first 3 months so let me know if you guys have any particular questions on my experience, I'm more than happy to share them with you.

Talk to you soon!!
